Code Green Emergency MOD EAP Immediate Steps

"Protocols differ slightly based on if there is a known weapon present."

Investigate

• You are notified or witness a physical altercation taking place or weapon present.  This can be between two individuals or groups of Guests, or someone reporting the presence of a weapon.  
  • What type of physical altercation is taking place and is there a weapon present? Police will need to be aware of this information.  What type of weapon?
  • Are they Guests of the Lodge or Pack Members?
  • Is crowd control needed?
  • Have the disputing parties been separated?

Communicate

Weapon Present

• Immediately call 911 if not done so already. 
• Go to the ALL CALL channel and announce, Code Green Weapon and your exact location. 
• MOD will ensure all available 10 Units are switching to the Open Communication channel for further instructions.

Physical Altercation

• Immediately go to the” ALL CALL channel and announce, Code Green Physical and your exact location.
• MOD will ensure all available 10 Units are switching to the Open Communication channel for further instructions.
• If a Guest requires medical attention and the area is safe contact Aquatics (510). If the Guest is in a life-threatening situation, call 911 immediately.
• This should be followed by an ALL CALL that there is a Code 3 for the Code Green Emergency at your location using the guidance found in the Code 1,2 or 3 Standard Operating Procedures
• When the ALL CALL is announced the MOD will immediately ensure 911 has been contacted.
  

React

Weapon Present

• Observe from a safe distance until law enforcement arrives.
• If a weapon is present do NOT engage. Attempt to move surrounding Guests and Pack Members away from the area to a safe place and wait for law enforcement to arrive. 

Physical Altercation 

• If possible, attempt to separate the parties having a physical altercation if you can safely do so.
• Ensure the area is secure and other Guests are not impacted by this altercation.
