Investigate
- Confirm where the alarm(s) is coming from.
- Verify with maintenance that someone is investigating the source of the alarm.
- MOD/Security should be near the fire panel with a radio to communicate alarms.
Communicate
- Once alarm sounds, before starting the investigation, ALL CALL all 10 units to a designated meeting point while the investigation takes place
- If it is a false alarm and permission to clear alarm is given, silence it by following the instructions listed next to the panel. Switch to ALL CALL and announce false alarm, Alarm Cleared.
- If your jurisdiction does not allow you to silence the alarm, contact your local fire department for direction.
- If found to be a true alarm, switch to ALL CALL and announce Code Red- Evacuate.
- If 911 has not been notified, ensure someone is contacting Emergency Services.
- Zingle notification should be sent to guests alerting them to the situation, either false alarm or evacuation. See Zingle SOP
React
- If a false alarm is confirmed assist evacuated Guests back into the hotel.
- 10 Units should be at each main door communicating false alarm to guests
- If it is a confirmed alarm, continue evacuation procedures. Click Here for escalated MOD steps.
- Go to your assigned rally point.
