Code Purple- Drugs MOD EAP Immediate Steps

Investigate

• You are notified of or witness actions that indicate someone may be under the influence or in possession of illegal drugs. 
• If found in a guest room, while still occupied, leave room immediately and keep a safe distance.  Do not touch anything.
• If odor of drugs is present in a room/hallway- move to a safe location.

Communicate

• Go to the MOD/Security channel.  Let them know you have a Code Purple and the location you are at with the individual.  
• If Guest requires medical attention (hurt themselves, too intoxicated to stand/walk) contact Aquatics (510) if available for a Code 2/3 due to a Code Purple. 
• If at any point the guest becomes belligerent or threatens violence, immediately call 911.  Then go to ALL CALL and call out Code Green Emergency.  Click Here for escalated MOD steps.  

React

• Assess the situation and gather factual information.
• If person intoxicated is a minor, the guardian of the individual should be contacted.
